“accepting, empowering and supporting individuals to make their appropriate life choices”
King’s Reach Mission
To continually respond to the needs of our community by accepting, empowering and supporting individuals
to make appropriate life choices.
Introduction
King’s Reach was established in 2003 with the aim of providing the highest standards of care for families
and young people in need of significant support.
The organisation offers an expanding range of quality services in the following areas:
- Alternative Curriculum Education
- Direct Work - One to One and Family Support
- Behaviour Management Service (for schools)
- Managed moves
- Reintegration
- Advocacy
- Life Skills Classes
- Total Impact
- Gardening Project
Our specialisation is the ‘hard to reach’ and vulnerable in society.
With this focus it is our intent to:
- engage with disadvantaged young people and improve their approach towards education and achievement
- assist our local authorities in supporting young people and their families in the community
- provide a programme for young people with the aim of building self esteem and confidence, developing social skills and to equip them for adult life
- be there as long as the service is needed: being people led not service led
- encourage staff, volunteers and service users to develop to their full potential and to support them where practicable in that process
- offer unconditional acceptance to the individual although not necessarily of their behaviour
- respond to the needs of the whole person in relation to health, educational, social and spiritual issues
- Give hope and encouragement to the young people who feel they have been written off by society
